After 32 years on the market, Microsoft Office is being retired in favor of Microsoft 365. Microsoft is one of the most well-known brands in the world, but the software giants are killing it off with their latest revamp. The standalone versions of Office programs like Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook will remain available, but only as part of Microsoft 365.
The company also stated that “Office.com, the mobile app, and the Office app for Windows will become the Microsoft 365 app, with a new icon, a new appearance, and even more capabilities.” This will be reflected in the icon.
The user’s account, profile, and subscription will not be altered in any way by the upgrade; it will only affect the aforementioned.
It was also noted by the corporation that Microsoft would not vanish overnight, but rather would continue to operate for a limited time.
