Meta now Allows NFT Sharing across Facebook and Instagram
Meta now allows users to post their NFTs on both Instagram and Facebook. They made this announcement today following a 4th August update in which Meta said, Instagram users could post-digital collectibles from wallets.
Users can now connect their wallets to Ethereum, polygon and flow, Coinbase wallet, and others. The NFT posts will feature “a shimmer effect and can display public information, such as a description”.
The company in its blog post said, “As we continue rolling out digital collectibles on Facebook and Instagram, we’ve started giving people the ability to post digital collectibles that they own across both Facebook and Instagram. This will enable people to connect their digital wallets once to either app in order to share their digital collectibles across both”.
That means expanding NFTs’ reach on every smartphone through meta’s applications, which will likely bring about additional earnings for the meta App.
Mark Zukerberg meta’s CEO said, ” there is a massive opportunity for the company to make up to trillions of dollars in the digital asset space as it grows.
The Meta company added, “In the future, we think NFTs will be critical for how people will buy, use and share virtual objects and experiences. We recently announced a way for people to showcase NFTs with digital collectibles, just one of the new technologies we’re exploring as we build for the metaverse”.
