Elon Musk suspended Kanye West’s Twitter account after he spewed antisemitic messages. Musk told Mega founder Kim Dotcom that Ye’s account was suspended for “incitement to violence,” not for publishing an “unflattering” photo of him.
West tweeted a Nazi swastika and Star of David earlier today. Soon later, he announced on Truth Social that his Twitter was locked. Musk later explained that he “did his best” to get West to respect Twitter guidelines, but the rapper still posted violent content, resulting in a ban.
Musk tweeted “FAFO” to end the saga.

Just clarifying that his account is being suspended for incitement to violence, not an unflattering pic of me being hosed by Ari.
Frankly, I found those pics to be helpful motivation to lose weight!

In October, Twitter’s new owner pledged a “content moderation council” with “different opinions” No news there. Musk has talked about becoming a “free-speech absolutist” and making Twitter a “public town square,” yet he’s only mentioned suspending violent accounts.
I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.
